Yoga in Nepal

Practicing Yoga

Yoga means relaxation, meditation, and fitness to be able to gain physical and mental health. While in Nepal you can do yoga to be able to re-energize your body and stay fit. There are a couple of yoga retreats in Nepal that cater to people in need of fitness. Doing yoga with a group of people helps you to ease your stress away and encourages you to be more positive and creates happiness. This is because all of you are there to seek relaxation and hence you end up cheering each other at the end of the day. Some of the most common yoga retreats in Nepal include a 6-day hiking and yoga experience in Kathmandu valley, 10 days trekking and yoga holiday in at Annapurna region. Apart from that, there are a couple of yoga training sessions that take place in the country at a fee. The session teachers are well trained and well geared in this line of duty and hence your needs are well catered for. The country is also said to be one of the best host retreats for yoga.

Visiting the Pashupatinath temple

Pashupatinath Temple

If you are a person who respects religion or is fun of historical sites this is one place you certainly have to visit while in Nepal. The temple was constructed in 1696 and is still standing tall. It is found on the riverbanks of the Bagmati River and is the most popular Hindu temple in the country. If you are a Hindu believer you certainly have a place to worship at now while in Nepal. However, if you are a non-Hindu believer you may not get a chance to get into the temple. This is because of the strict believes of the region. You will only have a glimpse of the structure from outside but you will be able to catch a view of Lord Shiva’s bull. The temple is considered to be so sacred and as the Hindu cremate their dead ones; this temple is the most popular place where people from the Kathmandu Valley are cremated.

The Best Holiday Street in North America

By Ian Price | thoughts and travel tips

The oldest commercial district in North America, the Rue Petit-Champlain in Old Quebec is a holiday extravaganza during the month of December. At the base of Cap Diamant where the Chateau Frontenac sits grandly overseeing the river and city, the street is bordered by Breakneck Stairs on one end and a large mural depicting the history of the district including the bombardments of 1759, landslides, and fires at the other. Reminiscent of Old Europe, clusters of souvenir shops and small restaurants like La Lapin Saute provide shelter from the cold and Santa is a celebrity.

A Rosey View at Pine Ridge Vineyards

By Ian Price | Travel

Founded in 1978, Pine Ridge Vineyards is a young winery by Napa standards, but the quality is undeniable. Most noted for their Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Bordeaux blends, the craftsmanship and love is noticeable in every sip. They take great care during their harvest season, handpicking at night so the grapes as well as the workers don’t suffer in the heat of the day. The grape clusters are collected in small bins that hold only 25 pounds to reduce bruising and crushing, and sorting is done by hand to remove any trace of stem pieces. This attention to the smallest detail ensures all you get is the juice.
